Caixa Mais.
The new internet banking of the largest public bank in Brazil.

Caixa Mais is the new internet banking for the largest federal bank in Brazil. By the time we got into the job, the challenge was huge: rethinking all of its interface not only for the app browser, but also for mobiles and smartwatches.

My Role

In addition to idealizing the entire navigation structure and interface interactions in its most diverse formats, I also coordinated the entire creative team involved in the project, such as visual designers, UX Writers and, of course, front-end developers.

Deliverables
- wireframes
- user journeys

UX Strategy

This project had a singular premisse that made it a great challenge: Caixa is a gigantic bank, with millions of clients. On the other hand, it has and old techonological infra-structure and we had to respect it. With that in mind, we had to rethink all the user journeys and experience of the app without creating any new webservice or even changing the ones that already existed.

We started this redesign by the mobile app. After that we adapted the interface for a e even smaller device, the smartwatches, and finally we discussed the desktop design approach.

Findings & Experience

We were delaing with an interface that could be reached from really different size devices. Because of that we created a narrative for the interaction that could be well adapted for each one of these resolutions. It was a card based interface. Each card had 3 major actions: swipe right, left and flip. We developed more than 30 cards where the users could customize the interface with their most used ones.

By doing that we were delivering a really personal experience for every customer, with less information and much more objective interface.

One interface for all sizes.
