Caixa's Lottery App.
The bank's biggest product now with a unique and exclusive experience.

Lottery is the biggest product of Caixa Economica, the largest federal bank in Brazil. It'ss by collecting the taxes of thousands (and even million) daily bets that the bank can support social, sporty, cultural and welfare projects.

My Role

In addition to idealizing the entire navigation structure and interface interactions in its most diverse formats, I also coordinated the entire creative team involved in the project, such as visual designers, UX Writers and, of course, front-end developers.

UX Strategy

Betting in Caixa´s Lottery physical shops always involved long lines, bureaucracy and a bad impression that usually kept away a potencial target of young, digitalized and well instructed people.

This audience is used to deal with all of their problems online and bets couldn’t be off their routine anymore. Based on that, we structured an interface that delivered all the games available in Caixa’s menu, but this time with this new audience in mind.

Findings & Experience

The strategy was to present the games in a “deck of cards” interface. By that we would create a well known interface narrative in which this young target audience could feel confortable in such an easy to use interaction.

From that on, the app would also deliver important features such as combining different bets in only one order and making a bet a recurrent bet.

Every game of Caixa’s Lottery has a specific colour. After some interviews with the users, a single but really importante insight arised: we should keep this visual association in the app. By doing that, users could find the game they wanted to bet only by its colour, making the learning curve of the app even faster.

Betting had never been easier.
